The Cambridge University Palestine Society – PalSoc
The Cambridge University Palestine Society (PalSoc) is a registered university society made up of a diverse group of Palestinian and non-Palestinian students, as well as staff concerned with the question of Palestine. The Cambridge University Palestine Society (PalSoc) tries to bring together the efforts of all those concerned about the suffering of the Palestinian people. We try to raise awareness within the student and local communities in Cambridge through accessible information events, as well as participating in national campaigns. CU PalSoc regularly arranges talks, campaigns, and workshops. If you are interested, please get in touch to join us.
The Society's main activities include organising educational and cultural events. Among our numerous high-quality and well-attended events are Israeli Apartheid Week, Palestine Awareness Week, public meetings, trade fairs, photographic exhibitions as well as seminars and public meetings with Palestinian and international academics, journalists, and activists.
Objectives
The Society’s aims are to increase understanding of the Palestinian people, their culture, heritage, rights and their struggle for self-determination amongst a broad audience.
